Professor Jesvin Yeo is an award-winning designer, researcher, and academic leader whose work bridges cultural heritage, design innovation, and human well-being. Recognised for her interdisciplinary approach, she integrates visual communication design with cultural preservation, addressing the functional, emotional, and social aspects of everyday life through design.
A prolific author, Jesvin has written nine acclaimed books that document and celebrate Singapore’s rich cultural heritage, including “Forgotten Heritage: Uncovering Singapore’s Traditional Chinese Puppets” and “Vanishing Crafts.” Her research contributions are widely published in top-tier international journals and conferences, covering heritage studies, material culture, typography, and design theory.
Her creative practice has earned global recognition, with exhibitions held at prestigious institutions and galleries across Berlin, London, Washington D.C., Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai, and Beijing. Her excellence in design has been honoured with over 80 international accolades, including the Red Dot Award, the GOOD DESIGN™ Award, and the iF Communication Design Award.
